A group photo which includes my great grandfather's brother (2057 Duncan William McKinlay-centre row, far left). I am unsure of the other members in the photo. He initially started as 14th Reinforcements 5th LHR, moved to 2nd Reserve Regiment before spending 2 weeks with 13 FAB and ending with 14 FAB.
Due to emu plumes I am inclined to think this photo may have been taken in Brisbane prior to embarking for Egypt.

WW1 diggers and nurses taken at what I understand was Rosemount Repatriation Hospital at Windsor Brisbane Queensland ca 1919.
My father Allen Ronalds is the digger in the slouch hat in the back row below the balcony, third from the far right.
While father was convalescing there he was taught wood-carving and we have inherited a wooden cigar case and picture frame that he carved.

Trooper George Gavin bottom left with three mates, presumably all 5 th Light Horse Brisbane.
He enlisted on the 6th August 1915 and embarked on the HMAT A23 Suffolk on 30th November 1915.
George was at Maadi with the 5th Lighthorse on the 8th January 1916, then joined the unit at Seapeum from Maadi on the 4th March 1916.
